Here's everything you need to know about the long-term viability of electric cars: Fiat-Chrysler head honcho, Sergio Marchionne, said the automaker will lose about $10,000 for every Fiat 500e electric car (pictured) sold. So why is Fiat — and Chevrolet with its Spark EV or Honda with its Fit EV — even bothering with the 500e it launched here in L.A.? Sheer politics.
