Volvo's surprisingly attractive V40 dons hiking boots for Paris with the new Cross Country variant. Riding 40 mm higher than the standard car, with requisite body cladding and 19-inch wheels, it's the sort of car for people who want to let the world know they've got an active lifestyle. All-wheel drive is an option for the range-topping T5 model; all others make do with front-drive and fuel-frugal turbocharged gas and diesel motors. There's a small chance that the V40 Cross Country might make it to Canada, a Volvo spokesperson commented that it is under investigation.
