Paris, France — I had high hopes for this year's Paris show. The French event alternates with the show in Frankfurt, Germany as the "big" autumn show in Europe every other year. And with the global industry facing economic, environmental and demographic challenges, I was keen to see what solutions the automakers could come up with.

Sadly, the car industry moves at a glacial pace. So many of the debuts from Paris seem about 24 months too late. Click through the gallery to see the 10 cars that disappointed me most.
