Whether you're looking for a crossover, a small car, or something to haul the kids around in, here are some great choices.

What makes a car a good choice for a woman? We're as different as snowflakes — bearing a resemblance to one another, but each unique. These lists are inherently subjective, so some of these choices will simply be cars I, myself, with all my lady parts, would like to drive.

However, I believe there are some motoring qualities that are important in particular to women: a smooth ride, a decent fit for smaller hands and shorter limbs, infotainment technology that doesn't have the same learning curve as a physics degree, style, good road manners, reasonable cabin storage and good ergonomics, a full complement of safety features and, especially for those of us with kids, easy ingress and egress and ample cargo space. And you can't put a price on the je ne sais quoi — we want a car that makes us feel good.
