Ever wonder why some drivers swear allegiance to one car brand and one car brand only? Certainly, loyalty plays a big part in what vehicles we choose to drive, but how can you measure just which auto makers have the most die-hard fans?

Research group New Media Metrics says it has the answer with its new survey that gauges consumers' emotional attachment to cars. The firm's metric, Leveraging Emotional Attachment for Profit (LEAP), dictates just what car brands hold the greatest connection with drivers. What brand has the drivers that love it most?
