Kia's entry-level crossover is one sharp-looking machine, and has come a long way from the old Bayou-blasting 'Aaaiiieee!' days. Power for most Sportage models comes from a 176-horsepower 2.4-litre four-cylinder engine and six-speed transmissions, with either front or all-wheel drive. As you'd expect from Kia, the Sportage is well equipped in its segment, including heated front seats, power accessories, air conditioning and Bluetooth hands-free. As a bonus, top-end SX models exclusively use a 260-horsepower 2.0-litre turbocharged four-banger with bigger wheels, performance-tuned suspension and all the toys.
