With the 2012 racing season just starting to come alive, there's still plenty of time left to get hooked on a new kind of motorsport and a different flavour of racing. There are all kinds of exciting prospects for on-track rivalries and stellar performances this year if you're willing to give them a chance. But, in order to enjoy, say, drag racing, if you've always only paid attention to cars turning both left and right, you'll need a few ideas about the kinds of people that are usually attracted to those various disciplines.
