Chrysler's executive shot in S. Africa
The chief executive of Chrysler South Africa is receiving intensive care at a Johannesburg hospital Wednesday after he was shot during a robbery, the company said.
Trent Barcroft, an American, was attacked on Saturday in an upmarket suburb of Johannesburg when he stopped his car to check what had happened after the would-be robbers bumped his car from behind.
"He is currently still in the intensive care unit, but progressing well and is expected to make a full recovery," said company spokesman Richard Sloman.
His wife who was with him at the time of the incident, was unharmed.
The robbers made off with a few personal effects including a cellphone.
