When the Hillbillies' Jethro wanted a new, more impressive car, George Barris was called to create a custom vehicle to fit his character. A 1921 Oldsmobile was used, but aesthetic and mechanical modifications were made including the addition of a 442 Oldsmobile V8 engine and Firestone Indy Super Sport tires fitted on Cragar rims.
