The day before the final Formula One race of the 2009 season in Abu Dhabi, local weekly business magazine Arabian Business revealed the salaries of each racer, figures many enthusiasts have been curious about. We've selected the 16 highest-paid racers, and ranked them in ascending order.
But salaries don't tell the entire story. With each driver, we've also listed the number of points won this season, and calculated the number of points per million dollars spent by the team to see which driver best deserved their wage. A few of the figures might surprise you!
