Let's say you're lucky enough to own an exotic car. Whether it's your only pride and joy, or the latest addition to your collection, chances are it means a lot to you. While you're destined to receive plenty of comments as an owner, your ride might also be coveted by those who seek to profit from it.

While it might not pan out in the same style as Gone in Sixty Seconds, or Fast Five, theft of exotics is an increasingly common occurrence. Many are stolen with the intent to export. But not all are headed to a shipping container: some are taken for joyrides, while others are stripped of their parts leaving sorry-looking skeletons behind.
