How green is this new Hybrid Air technology?

Peugeot and Citroen (PSA) predict that a typical supermini thus equipped would be able to travel 2.0 L/100 km (141 UK miles per gallon) – easily double the economy of the best current superminis.
If PSA’s claim is to be believed, typical drivers could potentially cut their fuel bills in half and qualify for free road tax in the UK. That’s on account of the 69 g/km CO2 rating, which makes it cleaner than most existing hybrid cars, such as the Toyota Prius.
