"When I was in my early twenties on my way to work in Chicago, the expressway which I was on was backed up," said Steve Greenspon of Illinois. "I was getting off at the next exit less than an eighth of a mile ahead. I pulled onto the emergency lane to bypass the traffic until I could exit. I was subsequently pulled over. When the officer approached my vehicle, I said in the most panicked way possible: 'Officer, I have horrible diarrhea. Please follow me to the gas station at the next exit and you can write me the ticket there.' The officer laughed and said to get going, and did not follow me."
