Does the video offer any clues as to what’s powering the McLaren F1?
It is believed the McLaren P1 will use a heavily tuned version of the McLaren 12C’s 3.8-litre twin-turbo V8 motor. It is likely to be enhanced by an F1-style KERS system, giving an added acceleration boost — judging by the way the car appears to accelerate incredibly hard out of the corners on the official video, this seems likely to be the case.
