With reliability, crash-safety and fuel economy being significantly improved over vehicles from even 10 years ago, styling is becoming increasingly important in purchasing a new vehicle. In other words, if two cars do pretty much the same job for similar money, chances are people will buy the sexier one. Even if the attractive one doesn't quite stack up logically, the curves 'n creases are known to sway decisions thanks to our emotional attraction.

So we've listed our 10 vehicles for 2012 that would probably look better if they'd left the sheet on before their official reveals ...
